What do William Penn, Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross have in common? They’re all trailblazing Philadelphians. But, not all of our city’s most impactful sons and daughters show up in the history books. Join the College of Liberal Arts for Philadelphia’s Untold Histories, a virtual tour of Philadelphia's rarely celebrated people, places and events. Join panelists as they take alumni on a road less-traveled through Philly’s past and connect that historical journey to the city’s current racial and social justice issues.

Members of the Conwell Society will enjoy an additional thirty minutes of conversation with the experts.

Moderator:

  • Ted Maust, Associate Director, Elfreth's Alley Association

Panelists include:

  • Rebecca Alpert, Professor, Religion
  • Amari Johnson, Assistant Professor, Africology and American Studies
  • Danya Pilgrim, Assistant Professor, History
