Temple LGBTQ Alumni Society will be hosting a panel discussion on issues surrounding marriage equality. Temple alumna, Edith Windsor, is represented in a case that will soon be heard by the Supreme Court of the United States. This interactive panel, featuring Temple faculty, staff, and friends, will attempt to answer questions related to this important case as well as the issues related to it.

Our featured panelists are:
Angela Giampolo, Temple University, Beasley School of Law, '08
Ms. Angela Giampolo is the founder of Giampolo Law Group, a law firm in PA and NJ and she writes the blog phillygaylawyer.com. Angela is a legal expert on LGBT matters and a frequent media analyst on radio and television. She is also presently authoring a book on rooftop bars and lounges from around the world.
Aishah Simmons, Temple University Faculty, Women's Studies Department
Ms. Simmons is an African-American feminist lesbian, award-winning filmmaker, television and radio producer, writer, and international lecturer based in Philadelphia, PA. Presently, she is a member of the adjunct faculty in Women’s Studies and LGBTQ programs at Temple University where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on the lives of LGBTQ people in all of their diversity.
Ted S. Martin, Executive Director, Equality Pennsylvania
Ted Martin is the Executive Director of Equality Pennsylvania, the state’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) political advocacy organization. He is also a native Pennsylvanian, a longtime LGBT activist and non-profit professional.
