Apulia: Undiscovered Italy

On the heel of Italy’s boot, Apulia’s long history makes it one of the richest archaeological regions in the country. Its rocky coastline makes it one of the most scenic. Based in the 13th century coastal town of Polignano a Mare, we will explore the ancient Greek port and Basilica of St. Nicholas in Bari, the baroque splendor of Lecce, the Jewish Ghetto and Norman structures of Trani, and other historic castles, churches, and ancient sites.

Waterways of Russia aboard the Volga Dream

On June 6, 1944, a heroic formation of Allied troops achieved the largest coordinated military invasion in history on the beaches of Normandy, triggering the beginning of the end of World War II. Walk through history on this exclusive journey through Normandy, featuring two full days of exploration that highlight this important victory during the 70th anniversary of D-Day. From your base in the charming town of Honfleur, journey to the D-Day landing beaches, including poignant Omaha Beach, led by a historian who will discuss D-Day’s events. Machu Picchu to Galapagos

Begin your 15-day journey in Lima with a visit to the Larco Herrera Museum and a city tour. Spend two nights in the Sacred Valley touring important Inca sites and indigenous villages. Take an excursion by train to Machu Picchu, the stunning “Lost City of the Incas.” Move through the ruins in your small group and stay overnight at the on-site Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge.
