Temple University Black Alumni Alliance (TUBAA)

TUBAA members pose in front of Temple sign.Whether you’re starting your own business, working abroad or starting a family, it’s the quest for excellence that over 30,000 black Temple alumni share in common and with one another. We happily embrace our collective responsibility to those who led the way and to those who will follow, both on campus and throughout the world. If you’re a black alumnus or alumna who shares these values, you're automatically a member of this chapter. Join us at an upcoming event and celebrate your place in our legacy!

Volunteers will engage in a series of service projects at our Life Do Grow farm. Working along side North Philadelphia youth, volunteers will turn compost, spread mulch, clear trash, plant seeds, paint signs, and will engage in conversation about building a healthier North Philadelphia.

Philly Urban Creators is a North- Philly based organization, working to activate local communities through art, urban agriculture, and community organizing.  Founded in 2010 by a diverse group of students from Temple University and surrounding North Philly neighborhoods, the group now operates a 2-acre Urban Farm just a few blocks north of Main Campus.  Growing fresh produce for the local community, providing educational opportunities and jobs for local use, Urban Creators facilitate relationship building between members of the Temple & North Philly community.
