Alumni are an important resource for attracting talented students and helping them succeed. Upon graduation, all new graduates become members of the Temple University Alumni Association (TUAA). Consisting of more than 316,000 alumni in 50 states and 143 countries, the TUAA has fostered lifelong engagement with alumni, students and the Temple family since 1927.

The TUAA is an inclusive, supportive volunteer organization committed to the university’s mission of learning through a variety of exciting events.

TUAA Board of Directors

Founded in 1927, the TUAA Board of Directors is comprised of representatives of each school and college alumni association, regional alumni chapters, shared interest societies, faculty and students. It exists as a leadership group to foster closer relationships between alumni and the university, serving as a voice for all alumni everywhere. The TUAA president enjoys full voting privileges as an ex officio member of the university’s Board of Trustees. Other TUAA leaders serve on key university and trustee committees, representing varied alumni interests.

Over the past decade, the TUAA Board has bestowed several million dollars to Temple University. These gifts have supported construction projects such as the Liacouras Center and the Simmy and Harry Ginsburg Health Sciences Library as well as initiatives to enrich alumni programming including reunions, alumni education and Alumni Weekend.
